''Living the Dream''

Just finished a 7 day father and son trip. We had an absolute ball - swimming, fishing, and eating freshly-caught fish on the beach for lunch!!!
This particular morning there were more Spanish mackerel and cobia than you could poke a stick at!

At times all you had to do was simply throw the lure in the water and wind back quickly.

The young fella's showing us how it's done - plenty of trout this week.

This is what the coral trout turned into later that day - freshly-cooked coral trout on the beach!

Broken rod, broken lure, broken ego

''Crocker and Co''

Well, the 2011 season has kicked off, and first cab off the rank is Shane Crocker, with Anne, Harry and Matty, who all fished with me in November last year. They have returned for another crack at Weipa's river fishing, and second time around it has produced  plenty of solid fingermarks up to 55cm, some awesome Mangrove Jack fishing, as well as some big barra and threadfin salmon. The barramundi have not been around in numbers but the ones that have been caught have been ''nice'' ones. I have been playing around with my shiny new camera lens trying to get some action shots - not perfect - but hope you like some of my pics.
