The rivers have been producing good-sized barra and jacks on both live baits and lures. A lot of ''PBs'' have been broken over the last few weeks. We haven't had to many opportunities to get offshore because of the weather, although when we have, the fishing has been great. Plenty of tuna and Spanish mackerel. I will to try to put a few more offshore pics up next week!!

We packed the boat and headed off camping - the fishing was great with plenty of big barra!!

Fly Fishing
Tom and Michael came to Weipa hoping to catch a few fish on fly. They have caught plenty in fresh water, but up until now have never experienced saltwater fly-fishing. The 3 days they just experienced were as good as it gets - perfect weather and fish everywhere. Along the beaches we sight-fished to goldens, queenies, brassy trevally, tea leaf, and Kahle Kahle to name a few. Offshore the tuna were thick, and in one morning session the boys landed 11 tuna on fly between them!!!!
